Our second visit to HMP Berwyn this morning, meeting and interviewing some of the men within the last 12 weeks of their sentence who are looking for a career in construction - in the North Wales and North West areas. Joined by We Are Footprint who have played a huge part in recruiting and providing ongoing support to our recently released workforce over the last couple of years! A great talent pool of candidates with the right attitudes and I'm looking forward to seeing some of them working on our Willmott Dixon projects soon! Great support also from Steel 4 Structures Limited who are doing some amazing Social Value work in North Wales - recruiting and training local people and those recently released from prison, engaging with the prison and local colleges to offer learning opportunities and offering apprenticeships/training. Phew, we've been busy and I'm so excited about the outcomes we're creating with this partnership!
