Social Housing Refurbishment Projects
Location: Preston, Lancaster and South Lakes
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the day-to-day management of refurbishment projects from start to finish.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on-site, promoting a safe working environment.
- Support the Site Manager with site inductions and the coordination of site teams.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure smooth communication and project progression.
- Monitor progress against the project schedule, reporting any delays or issues.
- Assist with quality control to ensure the refurbishment work meets the required standards and specifications.
- Contribute to the management of project budgets, including tracking costs and helping to identify areas for cost-saving.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork and documentation, including site records, are maintained accurately.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in site management or working within the construction industry, ideally in social housing refurbishment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices on construction sites.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate leadership potential.
- CSCS card (or equivalent) and SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) qualification is desirable.
- First Aid certificate (desirable).
- Trades background (preferable).
