Project Manager

A leading regional contractor is looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee a large-scale refurbishment project in South Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established contractor, delivering a high-value and high-profile refurbishment for a prestigious client.

About the Project:

• A multi-million-pound refurbishment project, involving structural alterations, M&E upgrades, and high-spec internal finishes.
• The site will remain partially occupied, requiring a meticulous approach to health & safety and stakeholder management.
• Close collaboration with the client, design team, and subcontractors to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• End-to-end project management from pre-construction to handover.
• Act as the primary client liaison, ensuring expectations and specifications are met.
• Lead on-site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring smooth project coordination.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, tracking progress against key milestones.
• Manage budgets, procurement, and cost reporting.
• Ensure strict health & safety compliance in line with CDM regulations.
• Implement quality control procedures, ensuring all work meets required standards.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, solving issues proactively to avoid delays.

Requirements:

✅ CSCS Card (Black/Gold).
✅ SMSTS Certification.
✅ First Aid Qualification.
✅ Minimum 5 years’ experience as a client-facing Project Manager leading large-scale refurbishments.
✅ Strong experience in occupied building projects with a focus on health & safety.
✅ A solid understanding of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, etc.).
✅ Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
