Key Responsibilities of the Site Manager:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of healthcare education construction projects on-site, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate the activities of subcontractors, suppliers, and staff to ensure smooth operations and adherence to project timelines.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and healthcare-specific guidelines.
- Monitor and manage the day-to-day activities of the construction site, including site safety, quality control, and workforce management.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure the project is progressing as planned.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the client, project stakeholders, and subcontractors.
- Prepare and present progress reports, addressing any potential risks, delays, or issues promptly.
- Ensure that all work is performed safely, in line with the company's health and safety policies.
Site Manager Qualifications & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Manager, with a focus on healthcare or education-related projects.
- Strong understanding of healthcare facility requirements and educational building standards.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, project management, and safety regulations.
- Experience working with architects, engineers, and other construction professionals to deliver complex projects.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and teams while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid) are highly desirable.
- Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
